BSU Joins Batooro to Mourn King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV
Yesterday, 11th September 2026, Bishop Stuart University (BSU) joined thousands of mourners to mourn the late King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of the Tooro Kingdom, who passed away two weeks ago. A delegation of students from the Banyoro-Batooro BSU Students Association, led by their Patron, the University Chaplain, Rev. Justina Bashemire, represented the University at the Royal Palace in Karuzika, Fort Portal City, where they joined other mourners to pay their respects to the fallen King. In his remarks, Prof. Mugisha said that BSU is committed to transforming learners through knowledge, skills, values and a positive mindset. He urged the students to work towards a better future while prioritising their wellbeing, spiritual growth and personal goals. “Your future must be good, but to get there, you must be alive.
