BSU’s team excelled in both competitions, winning the debate and public speaking championships. Mr. Azairwe Ayebare was crowned best debater and best speaker in Debate, while Mrs. Nakayiwa Maria Regina emerged as the winner of the public speaking competition.

The Department of Languages and Humanities, on 13 October 2026, hosted a cultural dialogue facilitated by the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda (CCFU), a non-governmental organisation that promotes culture as a vital tool for human development, national identity and socio-economic transformation.

The session aimed to equip students with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to make informed decisions about their lives, education, and future careers.
