On 5th March 2022, Bishop Stuart University joined HEPI-TUITAH (Health Professional Education Partnership Initiative-Transforming Ugandan Institutions Training Against HIV/AIDS) for a retreat on the way forward on matters of research dissemination at Tuzza Hotel in Bushenyi. A lot that regards sexual harassment policy sensitization among University students was discussed.
HEPI-TUITAH is a program being implemented by a consortium of Universities that include Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Lira University and Bishop Stuart University to build the capacity of undergraduate healthcare professional students in HIV/AIDS clinical care and prevention as well as services in research.
Part of this program involves training undergraduates from the three universities on HIV care and delivery using the Low Dose High-Frequency model. The program has further encouraged university students to take part in research writing competitions.
