Bishop Stuart University participates in Kiswahili research dissemination workshop

A group of selected Bishop Stuart University staff members including the Vice-Chancellor, Academic Registrar and staff from the department of languages participated in a Research exercise that is aimed at mainstreaming Kiswahili in Uganda’s National Agenda for Regional integration and sustainable development.

The study is funded by the Government of the Republic of Uganda through Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund (RIF).

A dissemination workshop presenting research findings of the study was held this afternoon on the 5th of October 2020 at Adit Mall, Mbarara City.

This will in the future help the nation to make decisions and establishing regional centers of Kishwahili where Bishop Stuart University is identified given its historical contribution to the development of Kiswahili as a language in the region.
