Assoc. Prof. Norman Mugarura is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law and he oversees the performance of research assignments and trains businesses (especially in the regulated sector) on regulatory and compliance requirements. The research portfolio of the organization includes but not limited to money laundering, financial markets regulation, and compliance, corruption, banking and finance-related issues such as syndicated loans, providing advice to commercial firms, Charities, and NGOs on law and policy, and the pitfalls they need to avoid.

Prof. Hilary Nwaechefu is an accomplished academic leader and legal scholar with over two decades of transformative teaching experience. He is the current Dean of the Faculty of Law at Bishop Stuart University and brings an exceptional blend of institutional governance, mentorship and high-impact research to our wider team.
Specializing in Law and African Studies, he has championed advanced legal education through the successful supervision of five LLM dissertations and the active guidance of three PhD theses at the School of Law, Kampala International University (KIU), Uganda, while also serving as an external examiner for the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
The Faculty of Law started operations in August 2014 at Bishop Stuart University Main campus. The faculty later acquired a new home at Rwentondo hill a few kilometers from the main campus. This guaranteed it enough space for expansion, independent and fully equipped facilities like office space, library, lecture rooms and halls, computer lab with ample space for future needs. The faculty offers the following programmes:
Bachelor of Laws, Diploma in Law, Bachelor of Arts in Ethics and Human Rights, and Diploma in Ethics and Human Rights.
Vision and Mission: The faculty’s vision and mission are intertwined with that of the University, namely to be a university for recreating the African society with academic excellence, human values and entrepreneurship; and producing multi-Sectoral leaders/operators, who know the way, show the way and go the way.
Faculty niche: The faculty takes part and competes favorably in the moot court competitions, participates in debates up to the national level. The faculty offers programmes that are accredited both by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) and Uganda Law Council (ULC).
Students are facilitated by competent lecturers while the faculty endeavors to train and nurture lawyers with a difference. For the third consecutive year, the faculty has sent students at LDC for the Bar course and they are performing well.

Prof. Grace Patrick Tumwine Mukubwa
Prof. Mukubwa is a Professor of Law and former Dean Faculty of Law at Bishop Stuart University. He holds a D.Jur. in Law with extensive research, teaching, consultancy experience with plenty of public service overlap. His publications touch on all aspects of law and order.
Atuheirwe Annitah
Atuheirwe Annitah is a Graduate Research Fellow at the Faculty of Law, Bishop Stuart University. She is a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration and Management Candidate at Uganda Management Institute and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Center (LDC), and a Bachelor of Laws from Bishop Stuart University.
Tuhairwe Arnold
Tuhairwe Arnold is a Teaching Assistant at Bishop Stuart University (BSU), Faculty of Law. He holds a Master of Laws from the University of East London, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Center (LDC), and a Bachelor of Laws from Uganda Christian University (UCU).

He holds a Master of Laws from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, San Diego – California (October 2017 to May 2019); a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre (From 2014 to August 2015) and a Bachelor of Laws from Uganda Christian University (2010 to 2014).
