Prof. Hilary Nwaechefu is an accomplished academic leader and legal scholar with over two decades of transformative teaching experience. He is currently Dean of the Faculty of Law at Bishop Stuart University and brings an exceptional blend of institutional governance, mentorship and high-impact research to our wider team.
Specializing in Law and African Studies, he has championed advanced legal education through the successful supervision of five LLM dissertations and the active guidance of three PhD theses at the School of Law, Kampala International University (KIU), Uganda, while also serving as an external examiner for the prestigious University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
His rigorous academic foundation, comprising an LLB, BL, LLM and PhD, is matched by a prolific research portfolio that includes 57 peer-reviewed journal publications, 10 of which are indexed in Scopus. Recognized for his intellectual rigor, cross-border collaborative spirit and unwavering dedication to nurturing the next generation of legal minds.
