CLARIFICATION ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT ALLEGATIONS FEATURED IN THE NEW VISION & EIHWA NEWSPAPERS RELEASED ON 13TH JUNE 2023.
Bishop Stuart University (BSU) is a not-for-profit Christian institution known for her commitment to academic excellence and deep-rooted faith in Jesus Christ.
The University has learnt about sexual harassment allegations reported in the “New Vision” and “Eihwa” newspapers, which were raised by students during the Students’ Anti-Corruption Conference held at Main Campus on 8th June 2023.
The University has a dedicated committee that promptly addresses all the cases brought forward at the Campus and if any individuals are found responsible, the University is fully prepared to handle them with due diligence. We guarantee a confidential, fair, and impartial investigation of any reported incident.
As an institution rooted in Christian values, BSU categorically condemns any form of sexual harassment. The University maintains a robust sexual harassment policy that is diligently enforced to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
This policy is continually reviewed and updated to reflect best practices,
ensuring that all individuals are aware of their rights and the procedures in place to address any concerns.
The University encourages any student or member of staff who has experienced or witnessed any form of sexual harassment to report it through the appropriate channels.
