Bishop Stuart University (BSU) has officially commenced its first-year students’ orientation programme at the University Main Campus. The three-day programme will run from Wednesday, 12th August to Friday, 14th August 2026, as the University officially welcomes new entrants of the August Intake Academic Year 2026/2027 to the BSU community.
Speaking during the opening of the orientation programme, the University Secretary, Mr. Abasa Medard Nabaasa, warmly welcomed the new students to Bishop Stuart University and congratulated them on choosing BSU for their higher education journey. He thanked the students for choosing BSU over other universities and encouraged them to maintain good behaviour, discipline and integrity throughout their studies, noting that these values are essential for achieving success in their academic journey.
In addition, he urged the new students to make proper use of the University’s established communication and information channels whenever they need guidance or clarification about University programmes, policies and services.
The orientation programme is designed to help first-year students understand the University’s academic and administrative systems, familiarise themselves with the available facilities and services and smoothly integrate into the Bishop Stuart University community.
