The outgoing student leaders of Ryakasinga Centre for Higher Education (Ryakasinga CHE) in Sheema District yesterday, 17th July 2026, visited Bishop Stuart University (BSU) for an educational tour to explore the academic opportunities and facilities available at BSU. During the visit, the student leaders toured several key facilities at the university, including the Computer Laboratory, the University Library, the Agriculture Farm and other learning and research facilities.
While addressing the students, the Senior Public Relations Officer of Bishop Stuart University, Ms. Kuribakanya Rose Rwankore, commended the administration of Ryakasinga CHE for organizing the educational tour and congratulated the outgoing student leaders for their dedicated service. She encouraged them to continue demonstrating leadership beyond school and to consider joining Bishop Stuart University after completing their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), noting that BSU offers a wide range of academic programmes that prepare graduates for successful careers. She also applauded the strong partnership between Bishop Stuart University and Ryakasinga CHE, emphasizing the university’s commitment to sustaining the collaboration.
The Deputy Head Teacher of Ryakasinga CHE, Mr. Agaba Poly, expressed appreciation to the university for the warm reception and hospitality extended to the visiting delegation. He explained that the school chose Bishop Stuart University for the educational tour because many members of its teaching staff are alumni of the university, something that shows the quality of education BSU provides. Mr. Agaba also praised the longstanding relationship between the two institutions, noting that such collaborations continue to benefit learners by exposing them to higher education opportunities.
The visit reflects Bishop Stuart University’s continued commitment to strengthening partnerships with secondary schools and other institutions of learning, while inspiring prospective students to pursue quality higher education.
