The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Maud Kamatenesi Mugisha yesterday, 25th May 2022 held a discussion with Dr. Michael Katurebe, the Regional Sales Director, Norbrook Africa and Mr. Ben K. Twine the Chairperson of Livestock Development Forum (LDF) on youth job creation and extension services in Animal Health Production and Management.
Among other matters discussed was forging a way forward to the possibilities of LDF in creating jobs for students to be employed in the livestock sector and giving internship placements to students. Norbrook has so far extended support in form of veterinary drugs to facilitate the training of Bishop Stuart University (BSU) students.
They also pledged to support send-off ceremonies, motivational talks, and guest lectures for fresh students and finalists in the same field annually.
Later a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to step up cooperation and implement work-based learning initiatives for the mutual benefit of the two institutions (BSU and LDF).
