The 12th annual Interuniversity Human Rights (IHR) Competition, organized by the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI) took place at Gulu University on 18th -19th November 2021 under the theme “Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in Relation to SDGs”.
It was the first time for Bishop Stuart University to participate in this competition, represented by a delegation of five students: Beinomugisha Brian, Bachelor of Arts with Education (3rd year); Tusasirwe Miriam, LLB IV; Nerisa Marie, LLB IV; Atwine Abel, LLB IV and Mukisa Joel, LLB IV.
In this competition, Bishop Stuart University was awarded a certificate as the second runners up, the first being Uganda Christian University, and the first-runners up was Makerere University.
Other Universities that participated include Busitema University, Mountains of Moon, Uganda Pentecostal University, Uganda Pentecostal University, University of Saint Joseph, Cavendish University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology.
