The AgCelerate virtual annual workshop for Youth Agripreneurs is taking place in the FAR Center at Bishop Stuart University (BSU) supported by the Agriprenership Alliance (AA) and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Three Universities, Bishop Stuart University, Gulu University, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and Makerere University are participating in this year’s Agcelerate under the theme “Rethinking Agribusiness in a Digitalised Economy”.
The AgCelerate has normally been a camp organised for ‘young agripreneurs’ to meet their peers from across the African continent and has always been hosted by RUCID, an organic farm in Mityana, and ending with a workshop at Makerere University. Bishop Stuart University has attended AgCelerate since 2019 but since last year, 2020, due to the COVID pandemic, the camp was hosted in selected universities, also known as ‘AgCelerate HUBS’, as a virtual workshop. BSU hosted a hub last year and will do so this year from 4th to 5th November 2021 at 10 am – 1 pm on both days.
