The Vice-Chancellor of Bishop Stuart University is the chief academic, financial, administrative officer and an accounting officer of the University appointed by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the University Council to serve for a period of five (5) years and is eligible for re-appointment for another term based on performance, on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the University Council.
On 23rd February 2023, Assoc. Prof. Gershom Atukunda (Ph.D.) received instruments of appointment as an interim Vice-Chancellor of Bishop Stuart University from the University Council – Chaired by Prof. Kenneth Kagame
Assoc. Prof. Gershom Atukunda is now the current Ag. Vice-Chancellor and the Director, Graduate Studies, Research and Innovations. He holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from Bishop Stuart University (2012).
He also served as a Dean Faculty of Business, Economics and Governance at the same institution. He has competencies in Competencies in Quantitative Methods (QM), Basic/Business Statistics, Research methods both at Graduate and Undergraduate levels, Management skills improvement, Human Resource Management, Monitoring and Evaluation(M&E) Full profile

Abaasa Ezra Kyakagweza
Abaasa Ezra Kyakagweza serves as a Senior Administrative Officer/Personal Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor at Bishop Stuart University. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from Mountains of the Moon University, a Professional Certificate in Child Protection Training obtained from Makerere University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Makerere University.
