Bishop Stuart University (BSU) on 12 October 2026 conducted a career guidance session for Senior Five (S.5) and Senior Six (S.6) students at Kabingo Girls Secondary School in Sheema District. The session aimed to equip students with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to make informed decisions about their lives, education, and future careers.
The BSU team, led by the Public Relations Officer, Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane, encouraged students to value their lives, exercise self-control, and uphold good behaviour wherever they go. The team also emphasised the importance of developing good character to become responsible individuals who contribute positively to their families and communities.
In his remarks, Rev. Dr. Mukundane encouraged students to remain close to God through prayer and to stay committed to their studies. He further guided them on the requirements for joining higher institutions of learning, urging them to work hard, remain focused, and take their education seriously.
He also highlighted the academic programmes, scholarship opportunities, and other benefits available at Bishop Stuart University, encouraging the students to consider joining BSU after completing their Advanced Level education. “At Bishop Stuart University, we train our learners to be Responsible, Ethical, Employable, Entrepreneurial and God-fearing,” he said, reaffirming the University’s commitment to providing transformative education that prepares students for life and service to society.
The career guidance initiative reflects BSU’s continued commitment to community engagement and strengthening partnerships with schools and other learning institutions, aiming at empowering the young generation.
