Bishop Stuart University (BSU) on 9th October 2026 conducted career guidance sessions at Oxford Secondary School and Ishongororo Secondary School to equip students with the knowledge, values and skills needed to make informed decisions about their education, careers and future lives.
Led by the Public Relations Officer, Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane and the Assistant Academic Registrar, Mr. Andrew Ayebare, the BSU team encouraged students to understand the purpose of their education, remain focused on their goals and make productive use of the opportunities available to them.
In his remarks, Rev. Dr. Mukundane urged students not to allow their family backgrounds to limit their ambitions, emphasising that success is possible through determination, discipline and commitment to personal growth. He encouraged them to remain prayerful and seek God’s guidance as they pursue their dreams. He also highlighted the academic programmes, scholarship opportunities and other benefits offered at Bishop Stuart University. Rev. Dr. Mukundane invited the students to consider joining BSU for a transformative educational experience that would equip them with relevant knowledge, practical skills and strong moral values, enabling them to become responsible, ethical, employable, entrepreneurial and God-fearing citizens.
The Headteacher of Oxford Secondary School, Mr. Sserukeera Edward, commended the BSU team for sharing valuable information which he said was timely and important to the students as they prepare for their future academic and career journeys. Similarly, the Headteacher of Ishongororo Secondary School, Rev. Tumwine Fred, appreciated the university team for enlightening the students about the benefits of university education and the importance of choosing appropriate career paths.
