Bishop Stuart University Law School participated in this year’s National University Moot Competition organised by ICAMEK under the theme Shaping tomorrow’s Arbitrator.
What started with a Moot problem riddled with the distinct language of Arbitration and Construction law culminated in two medals for BSU Law School.
BSU took home awards for the Best Respondent’s Memorial and First Runner-Up after a spirited fight that Hon. Justice Geoffrey Kiryabwire greatly appreciated, commending the superb team’s meticulous preparation.
BSU’s team comprised TAREMWA ELIAB JEB, NAKANJAKO HAWA, who mooted and NYAKISA BETH as a researcher. Counsel Alan Byamugisha, who also serves as Head of the Law Department, coached the team.
ICAMEK, the Moot organisers, greatly appreciated the dedication of our team and are eager to see our Law Students evolve into reputable Arbitrators in the near future.
