Bishop Stuart University (BSU) on 8th October 2026 conducted a career guidance session for Senior Five (S.5) and Senior Six (S.6) students at Kashaka Girls Secondary School in Mbarara, aimed at helping learners remain focused on their studies and prepare for their future careers after completing secondary education.
The BSU team, led by the Public Relations Officer, Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane and the Assistant Academic Registrar, Mr. Andrew Ayebare, encouraged students to develop clear aspirations and dream of becoming successful people in the future. They emphasised that achieving these dreams requires a clear vision, determination, discipline and consistent effort.
Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane urged the students to take their studies seriously and dedicate themselves to academic excellence to meet the requirements for admission to higher institutions of learning after completing their Advanced Level education. He also introduced the students to the academic programmes offered at BSU, available scholarships and other opportunities at the university. He encouraged them to consider BSU as their university of choice, highlighting its commitment to transformative learning that equips learners with the knowledge, skills and values needed to become responsible and successful members of society.
The Head Teacher of Kashaka Girls Secondary School, Mrs. Kiconco Dorah Barekye, commended the BSU team for sharing valuable insights into the opportunities and experiences that await students beyond secondary education. She also expressed appreciation for the longstanding partnership between the school and Bishop Stuart University, noting its importance in guiding and preparing learners for their future.
