To: All Final-Year Students Eligible for the Exceptional Supplementary Examinations
Subject: Exceptional Supplementary Examinations for 22nd Graduation 2026
The University Senate meeting, held on 1st September 2026 under minute number MIN.762/BSUS/2026, approved a special opportunity for final-year students who are expected to graduate on 23rd October 2026 and have one or two eligible retake papers to sit for the exceptional supplementary examinations.
These exceptional supplementary examinations are scheduled to commence on 16th September 2026.
1. Eligibility
This opportunity is strictly limited to students who meet all the following conditions:
a) The student is expected to graduate on 23rd October 2026.
b) The student has one or two retake paper (s) only.
c) The student must have scored 30% to 49% for Undergraduate programmes and 40% to 59% for Graduate programmes in the failed course(s).
d) The student has no outstanding case relating to examination malpractice or other disciplinary matters affecting the relevant examination(s).
e) The retake(s) must be verified and confirmed by the respective Faculty.
2. Registration and Verification
a) All eligible students are required to register and confirm their eligibility with their respective Faculty Registrars & Academic Departments not later than 12th September, 2026.
b) The HoDs shall submit the registered students to the respective Faculty Deans for verification. The faculty shall ascertain from the official academic records whether the student (s) meet the requirements in Section 1 above.
c) The AR’s office shall issue exam cards to students.
3. Examination Fee
Each student shall pay a non-refundable exceptional supplementary examinations fee of UGX Two Hundred Fifty Thousand (UGX 250,000/=) per paper to be paid in designated BSU banks. Proof of payment must be presented at the Academic Registrar’s Office and the Finance Office before being cleared to sit the examination.
4. Important Notice
Please note that this is a ONE-OFF exceptional arrangement to enable eligible students to graduate in the 22nd Graduation Ceremony. No late registration will be entertained. For further clarification, contact the Office of the Academic Registrar.
