Bishop Stuart University (BSU) yesterday, 5th August 2026, participated in a Career Guidance Day at Rwantsinga High School, where students were encouraged to remain focused, work hard and make informed career choices as they prepare for their future. BSU team was led by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane and the Assistant Academic Registrar, Mr. Andrew Ayebare.
While addressing the students, Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane emphasized the importance of determination, discipline and academic excellence. He encouraged learners to remain focused on their studies, make responsible life choices and aspire to become impactful men and women in society. He also invited the students to consider joining Bishop Stuart University after completing Senior Six, noting that the University is committed to providing quality education and producing competent graduates. In addition, he highlighted the various academic programmes offered at BSU and explained the admission requirements for prospective students.
Mr. Andrew urged the students to identify their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and encouraged them to overcome the challenges that may hinder their personal and academic growth, reminding them that self-awareness and resilience are key to achieving success.
The Head Teacher of Rwantsinga High School, Mr. Kaganda Francis, commended BSU for its strong partnership with the school and appreciated the University’s continued commitment to mentoring and guiding students.
The Career Guidance Day forms part of Bishop Stuart University’s strategic commitment to community engagement by strengthening partnerships with schools, empowering young people with career information and bringing the University closer to the communities it serves.
