On Sunday, 5th July 2026, Bishop Stuart University (BSU) team, led by Rev. Dr. Gershom Nuwemuhwezi, participated in a one-day Scripture Union Conference held at Kashaka High School in Bubaare, Kashari County, Mbarara District.
The conference brought together students from 7 primary and secondary schools, alongside parents and guardians. The gathering focused on nurturing Christian values, discipline and moral responsibility among young people.
He commended the school chaplain for organizing the conference, noting that such initiatives play a vital role in shaping students into responsible and God-fearing citizens. He also urged learners to uphold good behaviour, emphasizing that discipline, integrity and trustworthiness are essential qualities for success in their lives.
Rev. Dr. Gershom also praised Kashaka High School’s management for its partnership with BSU. BSU’s participation in community engagements like these reflects its strategic plan to strengthen partnerships with schools and communities.
Through such initiatives, the university continues to extend its outreach beyond the classroom while promoting holistic education, Christian values and community transformation.
