Yesterday, 3rd May 2026, Bishop Stuart University welcomed Archbishop His Grace Lambert Bainomugisha for his 4th annual pastoral visit to the campus. During his visit, Archbishop Lambert presided over a Holy Mass at the university’s main campus, where eleven students were confirmed into the Catholic faith.
In his sermon, Archbishop Lambert emphasized the importance of faith in university life, stating that faith is not merely a side dish but a main meal that provides stability to students, especially during examination periods. He highlighted that faith should guide students’ hearts and choices, transforming scholars into servants and thinkers into agents of positive change in society.
The University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John F. Mugisha, along with the chaplaincy and the Catholic students’ community at BSU, expressed gratitude for Archbishop Lambert’s continuous pastoral visits, support and leadership. Prof. John commended the Archbishop for being a role model and emphasized the university’s commitment to producing graduates who are responsible, ethical, employable, entrepreneurial and God-fearing.
The visit was marked as a significant milestone for BSU, strengthening the bond between the university community and the Catholic Church.
