Held under the theme “Bridging the Gap: Fostering Dialogue Between Students and Management,” the assembly took place on Wednesday, 29th April 2026 at 2:00 PM in the University Main Hall.
The gathering brought together the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John F. The assembly provided an opportunity for students to share ideas, engage with leadership and learn from one another.
Organized by the Guild leadership, the event created an open platform for dialogue, feedback and collaborative problem-solving, reinforcing the university’s commitment to a student-centered approach.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John F. Mugisha, shared the university’s strategic direction for the next ten years and highlighted the transformation of Bishop Stuart University into a “Cambridge University of East Africa.” He emphasized that students’ behavior and integrity play a critical role in determining their employability, noting that the university is committed to this by producing graduates who are balanced, ethical and purpose-driven.
