As a gesture of goodwill and community support, Bishop Stuart University (BSU) has donated fifty (50) iron sheets to Kaburangire Primary School in Kaburangire Parish, Mbarara City South. The donation is part of the university’s pledge to provide 150 iron sheets to the school, to roof the main hall where students will sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations once the school receives a centre number from UNEB.
Bishop Stuart University team, led by the University Secretary (US), Mr. Nabaasa Medard Abaasa and Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane (PRO), delivered the iron sheets to the school administration. The US emphasized that the university’s decision to donate the iron sheets was to assist the school in constructing a suitable hall where students can study and sit for their examinations. This act of generosity shows the university’s commitment to giving back to the community and strengthening its ties with the local population.
The Chairman of Kaburangire Primary School, Mr. Robert Tumwine, expressed his gratitude to BSU for the donation. He noted that the construction of the hall will be completed by the end of this year and that the school will then be ready to receive a UNEB center number.
This collaboration between BSU and Kaburangire Primary School exemplifies the importance of community partnerships in supporting education and fostering development. The university’s contribution will have a lasting impact on the school and its students, providing them with a conducive learning environment for their academic pursuits.
