Yesterday, 14th July 2026, Bishop Stuart University (BSU) hosted 70 students from Rwamabara Secondary School in Lyantonde District for an educational tour to expose them to university life, academic opportunities, and innovations. The students toured various facilities across the university, including the Department of Visual Arts, Design and Technology, where they explored innovative projects developed by BSU students. They also visited the university farm, the Main Library and several other key learning and research facilities.
They were introduced to the university’s faculties and academic programmes and encouraged to remain disciplined, embrace creativity in their studies and take advantage of the Competency-Based Curriculum by developing practical skills and innovative ideas.
Mr. Kamya Francis (their lead) expressed appreciation to BSU for the warm reception and informative tour. “We chose to visit Bishop Stuart University because it is one of the best institutions where our students can gain inspiration and motivation as they prepare for higher education,” he said.
The visit forms part of BSU’s ongoing outreach initiatives aimed at strengthening partnerships with institutions of learning.
