The long-awaited Provincial Annual Youths and Students Convention (PAYSCO) 2025 officially commenced yesterday, 9th December 2025, in Mbarara. This year’s convention is being hosted by Bishop Stuart University in partnership with Mbarara High School, under the Ankole Diocese. The two institutions have united to create a powerful, impactful and unforgettable youth experience.
The opening activities began with the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, planting a ceremonial tree on the Bishop Stuart University grounds.
Following the tree-planting, the Archbishop shared dinner with diocesan youth coordinators, youth workers, youth delegates and the University Management, led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John F. Mugisha. The dinner provided an opportunity for fellowship, reflection and alignment as the conference officially began.
Meanwhile, many youth leaders and participants have already arrived and settled in at Mbarara High School, the co-hosting venue, supporting accommodation and additional activities.
With an atmosphere set for worship, fellowship, learning and transformation, Mbarara is ready to welcome thousands of young people for a life-changing experience.
Our God Reigns.
