On 7th August 2026, final-year undergraduate students from the Science Education Department under the Faculty of Education, Arts and Media Studies at Bishop Stuart University successfully presented their research projects, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.
Rev. Dr. Gershom Nuwemuhwezi, Senior Lecturer in the Science Education Department and the Department Research Coordinator, applauded the students for their creativity, resilience and dedication to research. He urged them to translate their innovations into practical solutions that can improve livelihoods and create employment opportunities within their communities.
“To those who are already implementing their projects in the community, keep it up and don’t lose momentum. Continue investing the little you have in your projects, and always consult us, your lecturers, whenever you encounter challenges during implementation,” Rev. Dr. Gershom Nuwemuhwezi said.
The research presentations highlight BSU’s continued commitment to promoting innovation, competence-based and problem-solving through science education. The students showcased research projects that demonstrated their ability to apply scientific knowledge in addressing real-life community challenges.
