Bishop Stuart University (BSU) continues to strengthen its collaboration with the Diocese of Zanzibar as part of its commitment to community engagement and internationalisation while expanding global academic partnerships. Last Sunday, the University’s Public Relations Officer, Rev. Dr. Charles Mukundane, attended a worship service at Christ Church Cathedral in Zanzibar, one of the oldest Anglican churches in East and Central Africa. The service marked the conclusion of his week-long visit to Zanzibar alongside Bishop Stuart University’s international students’ team.
While addressing the congregation, he highlighted the academic opportunities available at BSU and encouraged the people of Zanzibar to consider BSU as a destination for higher education. “At Bishop Stuart University, we prepare and train our learners to be responsible, ethical, entrepreneurial, employable and God-fearing,” he said. He noted that the University’s commitment to quality education equips students with the knowledge, skills and values needed to thrive beyond university life.
He also held discussions with the leadership of the Diocese of Zanzibar on strengthening collaboration between the two institutions. The proposed partnership is expected to promote academic exchange, student recruitment and other areas of mutual interest, in line with BSU’s mission to community engagement and internationalisation.
