On 12th and 13th June 2026, Bishop Stuart University Chaplaincy team, comprising the choir and a guest speaker, led the Scripture Union Mission 2026 Conference at Mbarara High School. The conference, which opened on 12th June, concluded on Sunday, 14th June 2026.
The three-day gathering drew students, members of staff and ministers who came together for a powerful season of worship, prayer and spiritual growth. Drawing from Ephesians 2:14–17, the conference centred on the theme “Anchored in Christ for Peace, Unity and Stability”, a timely call for the younger generation to find a firm ground in their faith amidst the pressures of academic and social life.
Throughout the conference, BSU team, under the leadership of University Chaplain, Rev. Jastina Bashashemire, assisted by Rev. Aggrey Ayijuka, actively shared the love of Christ through inspiring worship sessions, personal testimonies, mentorship conversations and meaningful one-on-one interactions with students.
During his preaching session, Rev. Aggrey Ayijuka challenged participants not to be defined or limited by their backgrounds, but to press forward with vision and determination. His message carried a direct appeal to the student community: to pursue higher academic achievement with diligence, becoming people of integrity, influence and usefulness to their nation.
The University Public Relations Officer also encouraged students to aspire for excellence in their studies, urging them to position themselves as important persons and responsible citizens in Uganda and beyond.
We thank God for His faithfulness and pray that the mission continues to bear lasting fruit in the lives of all those involved.
