The meeting took place on Wednesday, 18th June, 2025, in the University Boardroom and Rev. Jastina Bashemeire, the university chaplain, chaired it. Other important people who also attended the meeting include: Prof. John F. Mugisha, the Vice Chancellor, Bishop Stuart University, Rev. Judith, Rev. Charles Okid, Rev. Charles Mukundane, Rev. Aijuka Aggrey, among others. This convention is intended for the youth in this region.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John F. Mugisha, welcomed the convention organizers and thanked them for choosing Bishop Stuart University as host of this convention (the first-ever gathering to take place in the grounds of Bishop Stuart University). He also thanked the Arch. Bishops of both West Ankole and South Ankole Diocese for organizing this convention which will be of great importance to the youths in this region.
The University Chaplain, Rev. Justina Bashemeire, also welcomed the members who attended this first PAYSCO preparation meeting. She also showed a lot of joy to find out that BSU community is going to host this convention in the region for the first time. The event is scheduled to take place in early December.
