The Chancellor’s Speech on the 17th Graduation, 6th May 2022
Introduction
On behalf of the Members of the Board of Trustees and my behalf, I take the honor and privilege to welcome you all to the 17th graduation ceremony of Bishop Stuart University. Your Excellency, The President of the Republic of Uganda, President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni, I would like to thank you for honouring this ceremony with your presence. Praise the Lord and welcome to Bishop Stuart University.
Our Guest of Honour, today we are graduating 1772 ladies and gentlemen who have completed their studies successfully. Out of 1772 students, 932 are males and 840 are females.
Our dear Graduands, allow me to take this opportunity of expressing my sincere congratulations to you for this milestone achieved in your lives. I join the Professors and Lecturers who trained you in applauding your achievement. I also join your parents, sponsors, relatives and friends who must be overjoyed that you have completed your studies at Bishop Stuart University and you are graduating today.
To our dear Parents, Guardians and Sponsors, we thank you heartily for standing with the graduands up to the end. Your labor has not been in vain. Today, we are witnessing the fruits of your labor.
I thank God for the dedication of BSU Staff, the Board of Trustees, the Council and students at large for managing covid 19 pandemic and keeping afloat.
I would like to thank the Government of Uganda and our development partners who have supported us through the years. Your excellence in the lecture rooms, and your great contribution to the Science Labs and the Library are much appreciated.
