Bridging Course in Animal Health & Production – Cohort 5

June 28 - August 29
Ugx 600,000

OFFERING OF THE MANDATORY BRIDGING COURSE FOR ANIMAL HEALTH GRADUATES

Bishop Stuart University (BSU), through the Department of Animal Health, Production and Biosecurity, will conduct the 5th Cohort of the Bridging Course for graduates of the Diploma in Animal Health and Production (DAHP) and Bachelor of Animal Health and Production (BAHP) – Version 2019. The course is scheduled to run from 28th June to 29th August 2026.

The Bridging Course was introduced following recommendations from the Uganda Veterinary Board (UVB) in December 2020 to equip graduates with practical competencies required for professional registration. Over the previous four cohorts, the university has successfully trained and graduated 336 participants, enabling them to register with the National Veterinary Council (NVC) and gain recognition as para-veterinarians.

The nine-week intensive programme focuses on hands-on skills development and practical training. You can pick application forms from the office of the Academic Registrar at a fee of Ugx. 30,000 and the tuition is Ugx. 600,000 (Six hundred thousand shillings only) per participant.

This course is mandatory and a prerequisite for registration by the Uganda Veterinary Board (UVB).
