Yesterday, 23rd September 2025, Agriculture students from St. Catherine Girls Secondary School, Kazo District, visited Bishop Stuart University for an educational tour of the agricultural farm.
Led by their Agriculture teacher, Mr. Nahabwe Raymond, the students were warmly welcomed by the farm manager, Mr. Mackson Kamugisha, who guided them through various farm projects.
The tour began with the rabbit project and nursery beds, followed by the mushroom project, where Winnie, a 3rd-year Agriculture student at BSU, facilitated a hands-on learning session. The students also explored the orchard project (mangoes & oranges), poultry, biogas unit and different crop gardens across the farm.
Throughout the visit, the students were actively engaged by asking questions and interacting with farm supervisors—making the learning experience practical and impactful. Raymond commended both his students and BSU team, appreciating the interactive and enriching exposure gained from the tour.
