The State Minister for Higher Education in Uganda, Hon. Dr. John Chrysostom Muyingo, has commended the innovative initiatives showcased by Bishop Stuart University (BSU) and pledged to visit the institution before the end of March 2026 to explore ways of supporting its development.
The Minister made these remarks today, 26th March 2026, during the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) 16th Annual Exhibition 2026, currently taking place at the Gulu University grounds. After interacting with BSU exhibition team and observing the university’s innovations, Hon. Muyingo expressed appreciation for the institution’s commitment to research, creativity and practical solutions that contribute to national development.
He noted that universities play a critical role in driving innovation and assured BSU team that he looks forward to visiting the campus soon to further discuss how the government of Uganda can support and strengthen such initiatives.
Bishop Stuart University continues to position itself as a centre of innovation and transformation, nurturing students to become ethical, entrepreneurial, employable and God-fearing graduates who contribute meaningfully to society.
