Amb. Prof. Francis Butagira

Born in 1942, Butagira Amb. Prof. Francis Butagira is the Legal Advisor of Bishop Stuart University and a Ugandan lawyer, judge, politician and retired diplomat.

He served as a member of parliament and as speaker of the Ugandan parliament from 1980 to 1985. He also served as an Ambassador to Ethiopia, Kenya, Germany, Austria, and the Vatican. He was also Uganda’s permanent representative to the UN in New York from 2003 to 2009.
