Skilling in Agripreneurship for Increased Youth Employment (AVSI-SAY Project)

There is an opportunity for you to join the “ Skilling in Agripreneurship for Increased Youth Employment –SAY project at Bishop Stuart University (BSU).

BSU Agribusiness Incubation Hub with support from the AVSI-SAY project will offer trainings for value addition in the following value chains;

Poultry – Chicken dressing, roasting, omelet, sausage making, packing, etc.

Dairy –  Making Yogurt, Ghee, butter, cosmetic products, etc.

High-value fruits –  Solar – drying of strawberries, mangoes, pawpaw, vacuum sealing, packing, etc.

High-value vegetables  –  Solar- drying and packing vegetables, vacuum sealing, etc.

For all trainings, you will receive a standard certification from the Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT).  All trainings are free, but you will be required to pay for certification; Ugx. 100,000 for males, Ugx. 60,000 for females.

Eligibility:  All students of BSU, regardless of Faculty/Department, aged 18-30 yrs.  Finalists are encouraged to apply, as there will be workshops to prepare them for the world of work and the possibility of work placements.
