BSU officially receives freshers with a colorful admission ceremony

Every Academic Year, Bishop Stuart University receives and admits new students(freshers). As per the University norm, we welcome students with an admission ceremony that involves swearing-in of Chief fresher and Chief Freshess, students taking oaths and admitting them officially.

Today drums sounded as the Vice Chancellor’s procession consisting mainly of the Academic Registrar, Dean of Students, University Secretary, Faculty Deans and all Heads of Departments dressed up fully in their academic gowns walked from the Vice chancellor’s office to chapel grounds to officially welcome new students.

The function commenced with the swearing-in of the Chief Fresher Tumwebaze Mefubosisi and the Chief Freshess Nahabwe Takia. Students were admitted to different university Faculties that include: The Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law, and Faculty of Business and Development Studies.
