These policies in term have reputed into remarkable changes in the agricultural sector and in the agribusiness system of the country comprising of three sectors: Farm input, Farm Production and Farm output. (processing and marketing). The agricultural export base has also been widened to include “non traditional agricultural exports” such as maize, beans, horticultural products, live animals and animal products.
The economic transformation, therefore has introduced many challenges to the private individuals engaged in the agribusiness sector in all the aspects of production, process, and marketing. These challenges have necessitated to a shift in emphasis on teaching business aspects of agriculture.
